HOUSTON - ScreenerKing, a premier manufacturer and supplier of industrial equipment, announced today their founder, Bill Jackson, passed away recently.  Bill built ScreenerKing with a focus on maximizing customer service by always being available and delivering quality parts at industry leading prices.

Mr. Jackson spent over forty years in industrial equipment and manufacturing founding multiple companies and creating patents along the way.  Mr. Jackson invented specialized industrial products that are used around the world today across a variety of industries.

Due to failing health Mr. Jackson was slowly transitioning out of ScreenerKing and intended to retire at the end of 2019.

"We had already put a solid succession plan in place knowing he was going to retire, but we weren't ready for him to go," said Whitney Jackson Vanderslice, who has worked with her father since she answered the phones for him in high school over twenty years ago.  "He loved this company and its customers.  The well wishes we have received from his ScreenerKing customers have been overwhelming; he is already missed."

Lyon Smith joined ScreenerKing with the intention of taking over for Mr. Jackson upon retirement.  "Taking over now is earlier than I was expecting, but we have an incredible team and they have all stepped up during this tough time," said Mr. Smith.  "In spite of everything, ScreenerKing is having a record year and it is a testament to Bill's leadership and the team he assembled including great partners in the industry.”

Mr. Smith said ScreenerKing will continue to operate with Mr. Jackson's philosophy of putting customers first, offering industry leading prices, and shipping quickly.  ScreenerKing will also continue to be a family based company as Mr. Smith will join Mr. Jackson's daughter Whitney Jackson Vanderslice and Mr. Jackson's son-in-law Phil Vanderslice as the senior leadership team for ScreenerKing.

"One day I hope all our sons and daughters proudly work here and continue the great legacy Bill started," said Smith.  "That would make Bill smile."
